One of the meaningful and creative ways of relating to the nature is through farming. It is the basic sustenance of human persons. All over the world, we find human persons engaging themselves in farming.

A Brief History

SRISHTIMITRA

Srishtimitra, in Hindi and Sankrit means “Friends of Creation.” It takes its inspiration from the Internationally well known “Tarumitra” venture of Bihar.

Planting trees and beautifying the De Nobili College Campus was the vision of the founding fathers of the campus (from 1942). Many priests, coadjutors, scholastics and lay collaborators generously offered themselves to make this place an environment friendly. However the naming of this particular endeavour/vision as “Tarumitra” or presently as “Srishtimitra” was a gradual evolution and organized as a ministry of the house in which the staff and the students and lay collaborators take active part and promote ecological awareness.
